MENDELSSOHN EFFEKTORIUM, CONDUCTING A VIRTUAL ORCHESTRA

The Mendelssohn Effektorium is a technically complex, but user-friendly and exceedingly fun installation at the Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Museum in Leipzig. The visitor becomes a conductor and by swinging the conductor´s baton decides upon the tempo of a musical piece. The instrumentation and tonality can be changed to enjoy a very personalized version of Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s work.
