WHITEvoid creates, programs and directs the gigantic kinetic show WEAVING MACHINE for 2047 APOLOGUE, the epic concept performance created by renowned Chinese director Zhang Yimou and produced by L!VE Kingway.
ZHANG Yimou breaks the form of traditional stage plays, combining Chinese folk arts with international technology, and thus creating a unique concept performance. The Chinese folk arts is presented with different high-tech, igniting new vitality. Noticeably, 20 teams and individuals from seven countries gathered in this performance.
WEAVING MACHINE is a a gigantic kinetic installation made out of 640 light elements with KINETIC LIGHTS winch system. It is featured in grand finale 9-minute long chapter interacting with an ancient Chinese weaving machine and a modern dancer.
2047 APOLOGUE premiered in 2017 at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing and was on tour across China with performances in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Guangzhou.
