BREAKING ICE – interactive 3D multi-touch table

Client UNESCO Site Museum  Year 2010  City Ilulissat, Greenland

The interactive table features a 3D multi-touch surface with a floating iceberg-shaped top, inviting visitors to learn about global warming and melting polar ice caps.

By touching phrases and keywords floating down the iceberg, visitors can select different topics on global warming in relationship to the melting polar ice caps. Video interviews with people from the Ilulissat region give further insight to the local impact of global warming.

BREAKING ICE is a global warming exhibit created for the UNESCO site museum in Ilulissat, Greenland. The exhibition is permanently installed at the iceberg museum in Ilulissat.
