DEEP WEB is returning to the iconic KRAFTWERK BERLIN in July 2019!
DEEP WEB is a monumental immersive audiovisual installation and live performance created by light artist Christopher Bauder and composer and musician Robert Henke. Presented in the spectacular industrial venue of the former power plant, DEEP WEB will plunge audiences into a mesmerizing experience of space and time.
Until now, DEEP WEB has only been shown to the public twice for a short time: as a five-day preview during CTM Festival 2016 at KRAFTWERK BERLIN and at Fête des Lumières in Lyon in December of the same year. In summer 2019, DEEP WEB will return to its iconic birthplace, where Berliners and city guests will have six weeks to take part in this breathtaking art experience.

SKALAR – Art Installation and Performance at Kraftwerk Berlin
SKALAR – REFLECTIONS ON LIGHT AND SOUND
SKALAR is a large-scale art installation that explores the complex impact of light and sound on human perception. Light artist Christopher Bauder and musician Kangding Ray give an audio-visual narration of radiant light vector drawings and multi-dimensional sound inside the pitch-dark industrial space of Kraftwerk Berlin. By combining a vast array of kinetic mirrors, perfectly synchronized moving lights and a sophisticated multi-channel sound system, SKALAR reflects on the fundamental nature and essence of basic human emotions. With its titular Turmoil theme, CTM Festival 2018 sets the perfect environment to launch the artistic venture of SKALAR.

digiStage – digital theater stage lighting system
DigiStage is WHITEvoids video projector based digital stage lighting system. The system was initially commissioned for the theater play “Fanny and Alexander” by theater director Sebastian Hartmann. The piece inspired by Ingmar Bergmans movie premiered in September 2011 at Leipzigs Central Theater.
WHITEvoid designed a projector based digital lighting system with integrated depth camera tracking to pixel map the whole stage area of about 120m2. Since the theater play used a flexible scene order, we enabled the lighting designer to select or deselect actors on the fly via remote. This way making them active or inactive as triggers for digital light follower effects and generative visuals. Multiple effects can be assigned to individual actors in almost infinite combinations.
